FAQs

Do you submit jobs for actors?

SAG-AFTRA Talent Agents are licensed in the state of California to procure jobs for you. SAG-AFTRA Managers do not submit for you.

We do, however, collaborate with your talent agent, who is licensed to submit for you, to discover roles and contact casting directors on your behalf as well as help you negotiate your contract with the help of an attorney. However, we do not personally submit for you.

Your agent’s job is to get you into the auditioning room.

Your manager’s job is to increase your chances of getting you casted.

How? We do this by tripling down on your

1. Mindset

2. Meisner, and

3. Mental Fortitude.

What kind of clients get accepted into your management company?

Before we invest in you, we need to know that you’re already invested in yourself— with credits, reels, and clear branding, and a track record of bookings.

We look for these qualities in a client:

  1. Consistency - A track record of submitting 2-3 auditions per week.

  2. Emerging Actor - You have a proven track record of booking at least 1 out of every 20 auditions.

  3. Completed formal training from a reputable acting studio - You have already invested in yourself by completing formal acting training from a school.

  4. Already active with a solid profile on at least two or more of these platforms: Actor’s Access, Backstage, or Casting Networks / Casting.com / CastingNetworks.com.

  5. Acting as a Career not a hobby - Most actors treat this profession as a passion project or a side hustle. That’s fine. You don’t need a rep for that.

Representation is only for actors that treat this as a career. If you are currently non-union, we need to see that you are actively working with CentralCasting, Alessi Hartigan, and/or Everyset while actively working with a Commercial Agent to increase your chances of becoming SAG, alongside actively booking lead and supporting roles in short films and non-union feature films.

You have 20 hours per week to invest in this career.

What is your percentage?

Non-Union actors it is 13% of all theatrical projects.

Union actors it is 10% of all theatrical projects.

What do you do for Union Actors?

  • Increase Audition Performances.

  • Increase On-Set Performances.

  • Give you the best deal by negotiate contracts with a licensed Entertainment Business Attorney.

  • Discover Roles that fit you and Collaborate with your Talent Agent to procure the audition.

  • Pitch you to Casting Directors during submission follow-up .

  • Optimize your Reel and Archetypes.

What does your management company do for actors?

Our management company focuses on three Ms:

  1. Mindset - Creating the space, routine, and right mindset to increase your performance, professionalism, and persistence.

  2. Milestones - Creating a roadmap to get you on the kind of project you grew up watching and getting inspired by. Milestones include measuring how many auditions per week, per month, per quarter, and per year you are doing to get to the reel, resume, and archetypes that positions you for the agencies, casting directors, and producers by a certain timeline. This includes preparing your:

    • Reel

    • Resume

    • Headshots

    • Archetypes

      so you are pitch ready.

  3. Meisner - We triple down on the details of performance. We ritualize and review your audition and onset performances with these acting techniques:

    • Response: How to read behavior and respond truthfully, how to daydream, how to rote through the ridiculous.

    • Reality: Imagining the relationship, objective, stakes, and tactics, rote through reality building.

    • Rehearsals: Beats breakdown, Emotional preparation, rote through running lines, and the self-tape auditioning process.

When am I pitch-ready for a Theatrical Agent?

  1. Union-Status. A reputable talent agency submits to union roles only. If you’re not already SAG and in good standing, you won’t even qualify for most auditions.

  2. Solid Resume. At least 5-7 lead roles within the last 12 months. Show consistency, range, and that you’re actively working.

  3. Master Reel. A polished reel with truthful performances. Clips must line up with your resume. Variety matters: Show your archetypes in action.

  4. Defined Archetype. Know who you play and who you will play. Your archetype is your casting short hand—it tells an agency (and casting directors) where you fit.

  5. Proven Booking Ratio. Agencies care about results. Emerging actors book ~1 in 20 auditions (5%) and Reputable agencies expect close to 1 in 10 (10%). That means ~140 auditions per year to prove your consistency.

What are the qualities of a good manager?

A good manager will focus on your performance as an actor, give you feedback on your auditions and help you prep for your on-set performances.

A good manager will have a sharp eye for your core essence and be able to help you get that reflected on your headshot and on your reel.

A good manager will have a solid strategy to get you in front of the right people for the type of projects you want to be a part of, when you’re ready.

A good manager will tell you that you have a drinking or thinking problem and will give you the kind of heart to heart talk that will get you back on the mark again - right mind, sober mind, sharp mind.

A good manager will tell you when you’re not pulling your weight and will even drop you when they see that to keep you is to enable you despite how talented and gifted you are. You have to believe in yourself more than any other person on this planet for this to work.
